Munich (dpa / lby) – The Munich I Regional Court has sentenced two young men to many years of youth imprisonment for manslaughter and attempted robbery resulting in death. A 17-year-old Egyptian was jailed for eight years and a 16-year-old German for four years and nine months because of fatal stabbings against a youth, according to the Higher Regional Court. According to the court, the two got into a fight with a then 17-year-old man at Rosenheimer Platz in December 2021 after they had pretended to want to buy marijuana from him, which they wanted to steal.
When they tried to snatch a ten-gram bag of the drug from his hand, a scuffle ensued. One of the accused stabbed the 17-year-old twice in the upper body with a knife. The victim died the next day despite an emergency operation. The judgment is not final.
