Scheidegg (dpa / lby) – An 89-year-old driver caught grandmother, mother and grandson in the pram on Thursday morning in the district of Lindau (Lake Constance). The 64-year-old died, her 31-year-old daughter and the baby were taken to a hospital with minor injuries, according to the police headquarters in Swabia South / West.

According to current knowledge, the 89-year-old came after the entrance to Scheidegg in a right-hand bend for reasons that are still unclear to the left onto the sidewalk and first hit the 31-year-old pedestrian who was thrown onto a meadow. Then the car hit the 64-year-old with the stroller on the sidewalk.

The 89-year-old initially drove on. In the center of Scheidegg, he caused another traffic accident with property damage. His driver’s license was confiscated. The senior is now being investigated for negligent homicide in a traffic accident, endangering road traffic and unauthorized removal from the scene of the accident.
