Nuremberg (dpa / lby) – 1. FC Nuremberg is lending center forward Paul-Philipp Besong to second division relegated Erzgebirge Aue in the coming season. The Franconian club from the 2nd Bundesliga announced the temporary change of the 21-year-old on Tuesday. Last weekend, Nuremberg had already announced the departure of defender Linus Rosenlocher to the Saxons.

Due to injury, Besong had mainly played for the FCN U21s in the regional league last season. There the right footer made a total of 13 appearances, in which he scored eight goals and prepared three goals.

“It’s important for Paul to gain match practice. The 3rd division will also be at a good level in the coming season. We know about his potential and are sure that he will continue to develop as well in Aue as he has in the last few months us,” said FCN sports director Dieter Hecking.
