Munich (dpa / lby) – Attacking player Christopher Scott is moving from FC Bayern Munich to the Belgian first division club Royal Antwerpen for the new season. As the record German soccer champion announced on Tuesday, the 20-year-old signed a contract with the Belgians, who are coached by former FCB professional and VfL Wolfsburg coach Mark van Bommel, until the summer of 2025.
Scott joined the Munich youth team from Bayer 04 Leverkusen in January 2020. Since then he has mainly played in the second team, but also made two Bundesliga appearances in April 2021 against 1. FC Union Berlin and Bayer Leverkusen. “By moving to the Belgian first division, he now wants to take the next step. We wish him every success for the future,” said campus manager Jochen Sauer, according to the club’s announcement.
