Fürth (dpa / lby) – SpVgg Greuther Fürth wants to initiate the trend reversal in the basement duel with 1. FC Magdeburg and finally celebrate their first win of the season in the 2nd Bundesliga. “It’s just a little missing, but it’s missing,” said Kleeblatt coach Marc Schneider before the game with the promoted team on Sunday (1:30 p.m.). It is important not to get hectic despite the disappointing weeks.
The Franconian haul so far is shockingly weak with four points from seven games and 16th place in the table. “Of course we feel that the pressure from outside is increasing,” admitted Schneider. The 42-year-old expects a heated atmosphere at the table neighbors from Saxony-Anhalt. “We have to stay together as a group. Everyone has to do their job,” the coach appealed to his team.
Central defender Sebastian Griesbeck is available again after his calf injury. His defensive colleagues Gideon Jung and Marco Meyerhöfer trained during the week, but are not an option for Sunday.
