Regensburg (dpa / lby) – SSV Jahn Regensburg signed an offensive player shortly before the start of the pre-season. Prince Osei Owusu (25) will play for Jahn in the new season, as the second division soccer team announced on Thursday. The attacker comes on a free transfer from FC Erzgebirge Aue, who have been relegated to the second division. Owusu has signed a two-year contract with the Upper Palatinate.

Owusu also played for TSV 1860 Munich. The 1.90 meter tall striker was trained at VfB Stuttgart. “We are convinced that Prince’s dynamism, physique, but also his strong left foot will do us good. We also believe that he still has potential for further development,” said Jahn Managing Director Roger Stilz.

“I think my style of play as a robust, dynamic attacker and my style as a team player goes well with Jahn’s style of play,” said newcomer Owusu. The Jahn squad starts this Sunday in the pre-season.
