Nuremberg (dpa / lby) – Hopeful Markus Weinzierl has started training at 1. FC Nuremberg. With two sessions on Wednesday, the former Bundesliga coach began preparing for the home game in the 2nd Bundesliga on Sunday (1.30 p.m. / Sky) against Holstein Kiel. After the separation from coach Robert Klauss, Weinzierl should lead the Franks from 14th place in the table back up.

“I want to stabilize the whole thing and make it better step by step so that I might have developed something by the end,” said the 47-year-old, who left FC Augsburg in the summer due to resentment, when he took office. He will “do everything to make it successful,” he emphasized with a view to his premiere on Sunday.
