Braxton Berrios, wide receiver for the Jets, believes that quarterback Zach Wilson will make a big leap from his rookie performance.

Berrios stated that Wilson is now in a “different world” following a “whirlwind start” to his NFL career. Wilson had to learn a new offense, and meet new teammates before he could adjust to a more complex game of football.

Berrios stated that Wilson was experiencing a slowdown in the last weeks of the 2021 season. He believes that Wilson’s hard work will be rewarded with more success in the fall.

Berrios stated that “everything is there from an physical standpoint, and now everything has aged so much from his mental [standpoint] since just one year ago that it’s hard to wait, again I hate discussing it, I hate hype — it’s all I can stand. But I can wait to see him Week 1, and see what he can accomplish because he’s at a different place last year.”

Week 1 will see Wilson play with the Ravens. This is a sign that there’s more to the Jets than just offseason hype.
