Markus Söder’s daughter has made the headlines for a variety of reasons: because she’s vacationing in Monaco in the midst of the corona pandemic, because she’s modeling or because she’s thinking about a career in politics. So why not because of her hair?
Bavaria’s Prime Minister Markus Söder recently appeared above all with his demand for longer operating times for the nuclear power plants. His daughter Gloria-Sophie, on the other hand, is shining for a completely different reason these days: she was at the hairdresser’s.
The 23-year-old posted the associated evidence photos on her Instagram page. Instead of the long brown mane, which previously fell over her shoulders, she now wears a distinctive short haircut. But don’t worry: there is still no risk of confusion with her father.
“Happy to be here” (“Glad to be here”), wrote Gloria-Sophie only. But at least the “Bild” newspaper gave her a little longer to answer questions about her type change.
“I cut my hair off for a photo shoot. And because I’m going to New York. I want to show that you can also be a woman without a long mane,” Söder’s daughter revealed to the newspaper. And further: “I feel great with my short hair. Even more feminine than with long hair. More rock’n’roll, less kitsch.”
It is said that the young model should go to New York for various shoots on Thursday. Gloria-Sophie probably doesn’t want to settle down in the US metropolis permanently. She will definitely keep her apartment in Munich.
Gloria-Sophie is Söder’s illegitimate daughter from a previous relationship with Ulrike Burkandt. The CSU politician has been married to Karin Baumüller since 1999, with whom he had another daughter and two sons.
Gloria-Sophie Burkandt made the headlines for the first time in May 2021. In the midst of the pandemic, pictures of her on a luxury vacation in the corona risk area of ??Monaco made the rounds. A little later it became known that she now has a model contract in her pocket. But she could also imagine a career as a politician, she revealed a few months ago.
