The director of the Lanza newspaper in Ciudad Real, Conchi Sánchez, has died suddenly at the age of 51 at the General University Hospital in the capital of the province of La Mancha.
According to Castilla-La Mancha Media, the death of the journalist has been received as a “hard blow” by all her colleagues in the newspaper’s editorial office.
The Ciudad Real Press Association has lamented the “painful death of a stupendous and brilliant woman both personally and professionally, who worked hard for journalists from her land.”
In addition, the president of Castilla-La Mancha, Emiliano García-Page, through social networks, has expressed dismay at the death of the Ciudad Real journalist, whom he has defined as “an excellent person.”
García-Page also recalled that for two years she was press officer for the Ministry of Economy, where she developed an “extraordinary job”.
