They were going by car from the town of Escalona to Toledo to give birth to little Erick. But in the middle of the trip the delivery precipitated and they had to stop at a service area on the highway. The great luck is that in the restaurant there was a nurse who helped during the process.

The woman revived the little boy, who had already arrived in the world and was not breathing. “I got very nervous when I picked him up because he wasn’t breathing and didn’t move. I started crying and screaming,” said the father, Sergio García.

Already calmer and with the baby safe, Sergio looked for the nurse to thank her for her performance, but the woman was nowhere to be found. “I couldn’t even pick up the phone or thank him,” said Sergio, who continues trying to locate the woman, of whom no more details are known than her profession.

It all happened 15 kilometers from his home, in Escalona, ??on the way to the Toledo University Hospital. “My wife’s water broke and she told me ‘stop, stop, why have I put my hand in the mesh and my head is out of it'”, the father recounted.

Given Erick’s imminent arrival in the world, Sergio could only stop the car at the roundabout of the Maqueda service road, near a gas station, where his unknown guardian angel was.
