Cedric Villani was a former Fields medalist in mathematics and was elected deputy in 2017. He joined the ranks of Nupes in 2016 but before that he used the presidential banner to elect him.
He was elected in the first place in this constituency. In the second round, he will be facing Paul Midy, the candidate of the presidential majority, who received 30.53% of votes.
