Both Queyras road passes can be accessed. This opening is accompanied with a large number of vehicles, including many motorbikes. Road safety is at its most important in mountain roads that have multiple users. It is in this spirit that the CISPD (Intercommunal Council for Security and Crime Prevention) of Guillestrois and Queyras, in partnership with the prefecture, the gendarmerie, road safety and the association Trajectoire moto, is organizing a biker relay on Saturday June 25, from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the Guardian Angel, in the town of Chateau-Ville-Vieille. A spot at the intersection of the Agnel and Izoard passes.

This operation is part of the 2022 Departmental Road Safety Action Plan and aims to encourage peaceful motorcycling while adhering to safety rules.

Motorcyclists on high-alpine roads are especially vulnerable to road accidents that occur mostly in tourist areas.

This day’s program will include a series of interventions that provide a safety break. They include prevention advice, distribution and information about the specificities. Mobile gendarmerie brigade provides advice about mountain roads, encourages peaceful driving, regular breaks, and raises awareness about sharing the road.
