Nikeata Thompson announced her engagement last summer, but that’s already over. The choreographer announces on TV that she is single again. She processed this low blow while surfing in Bali.

Nikeata Thompson is single again. The star choreographer, known among other things from “Germany’s next top model”, revealed in the morning on “Sat.1 breakfast television”: “I separated from my fiancé.” She did not name the reasons for the love off.

After the breakup, Thompson needed a break, and she was on the verge of burnout. “Sometimes I just don’t feel like it anymore. I actually have a colorful life, but I was so tired.” A holiday in Bali helped her.

On the Indonesian island she learned to surf and faced her fear of the sea. “If you look at it from afar, it’s great. I like having a shock therapy like that,” said the 42-year-old on Sat.1. She feels better now: “There is always an up and down in life.”

She is now reporting on this adventure again on her Instagram account. There she uploaded several photos of herself surfing and writes, among other things: “After a stroke of fate, I will always try to do something that reminds me of how strong my will is. Everything I fear is an opportunity for me to get to know myself a little bit better!” Then she adds: “Every new beginning in life takes courage. You are always stronger than you often think.”

Nikeata Thompson also announced her engagement on Instagram in June 2022. At the time, she shared a clip that captured the moment of the marriage proposal. The video showed her being led onto a ship while blindfolded. There her boyfriend in a white suit was waiting, who then fell on his knees in front of her and asked her: “Do you want to be my wife, sweetheart?” She has no words, “only love in my heart,” she wrote. The name of her now ex-fiancé is not known.

Born in England, Thompson came to Germany as a child and later acted as a dancer in Seeed performances. She had her first TV engagement as a juror on the show “Got to Dance”. Since 2017 she has appeared as a catwalk coach and guest judge on “Germany’s next top model”.
