The Nagorno-Karabakh region is once again at the heart of international concerns. The Russian peace contingent present in Nagorno-Karabakh has evacuated more than 2,000 civilians from the most dangerous areas of the separatist region, the Russian Defense Ministry announced on Wednesday, the day after Azerbaijan launched an operation military in this enclave. “In total, more than 2,000 civilians were evacuated, including 1,049 children,” the Russian ministry said in a statement. In a video posted on Telegram, families with children could be seen getting off several buses, greeted by Russian soldiers, with just a few belongings under their arms. These displaced people nevertheless remain in Karabakh, in less exposed areas.
