New product recall due to possible E.coli contamination. According to the government website RappelConso on Monday, Malo brand yogurts were recalled. They are sold in French supermarkets. They will indeed contain dangerous bacteria Escherichia Coli.
This recall affects different ranges, and each time the products are sold in 4x125g cardboard containers:
Plain yogurts are available since June 9, and the best before date for them is July 11, (GTIN reference 3278692111145).
Whole milk raspberry flavored yogurts are available on the market from June 10, and will be valid through July 12, (GTIN reference 3278692420025).
Grenadine-flavored whole milk yogurts are available since June 9, and will be valid through July 22 (GTIN Reference: 3278692363339).
– Finally, sweet yogurts are now available for sale starting June 8, and they will be valid until July 11, (GTIN reference 3278692211142).

RappelConso states that E.coli bacteria can cause gastroenteritis, which is a condition marked by diarrhea and abdominal pain within 3 days. It can cause hemolytic uremic Syndrome (HUS), which can be dangerous for children and elderly.
This recall follows a food scandal that was linked to the contamination of pizzas made by Buitoni, a Nestle brand. Over 50 people have been infected. Two children died from the infection after eating Fraich’Up pizzas.
