A convicted felon landed himself back behind bars for allegedly carjacking that a 16-year-old woman on Saturday just 20 minutes later he was released from prison at Washington state, authorities say.

Authorities said the suspect, Marcus Goodman, 31, approached the girl who told officers he had a gun and demanded her car before driving off.

Goodman was released from prison at 10:08 p.m., police said.

A patrol sergeant located the stolen car in northeast Spokane, according to police. Goodman was arrested and identified as the defendant, police said.

“The analysis showed in 20 minutes Goodman had traveled the roughly 1.5 kilometers from jail to the incident place in Browne’s Addition and assaulted that the Allied victim,” the Spokane Police Department said in a press launch .

Goodman was booked back in to Spokane County Jail for the felony charge of robbery in the second level, police said.
