The juvenile judge of La Rioja has ordered the internment in a closed regime for two of the five minors between the ages of 14 and 17 allegedly involved in the group sexual assault of two girls aged 12 and 13 that occurred in Logroño.

It has also issued, for the other three, a restraining order and a ban on communicating with the victims, the Superior Court of Justice (TSJ) of La Rioja detailed this Wednesday in a note.

These three minors are still on file, which means that more investigative measures will be carried out to find out their degree of involvement in the reported events, which occurred late in the afternoon of last Sunday, April 9.

The juvenile judge has adopted these measures after holding appearances with these five adolescents, all male, who, previously, testified this Wednesday before the Juvenile Prosecutor’s Office, once they were identified and detained by the National Police on Tuesday.

The Police have also identified two other minors under the age of 13 as allegedly involved in this attack, who have been placed under the guardianship of their parents since they were not over the age of 14.

According to the first data of the investigation provided, the two girls were invited, through the Instagram social network, to go to a building on Avenida de Navarra de Logroño, in the vicinity of the Old Town and where young people usually meet in their leisure time.

Once there, according to their account, they were taken to a storage room in the portal of this building, where, apparently, they were separated and sexually assaulted.

The victims, an hour and a half after the events, found agents of the Local Police of Logroño in the vicinity, to whom they narrated that they had been attacked by between 10 and 12 young people.
