The Celtic culture was one of those that dominated the Iberian Peninsula before the conquest by the Romans, along with others such as the Tartessian and the Iberian. These towns left legacies that reach our days, as can be seen in certain surnames that are used today.

The following list collects surnames with Celtic origin and where they come from. A large part of them arise from place names, although there are also some that come from anthroponyms.

The Celtic peoples lived in other European territories besides the Iberian Peninsula, so their descendants could be found among the inhabitants of some countries and areas, such as the British Isles and the French region of Brittany. Therefore, many British, Irish and Scottish surnames are also considered to be of Celtic origin.
