The Boston Dynamics Robot Dog, Spot, already has competition and of course it is manufactured in China at a price infinitely less than the North American model.

It’s called Cyberdog and is the last creation of Xiaomi.
He moves on four legs, like spot, and even has some of himself, as the possibility of giving a backward vessel.

It is a bit slower than the competition.
It scrolls at a speed of 3.2 meters per second instead of almost 4 meters per second from spot.
For the rest, differences on paper seem few.
CyberDog includes as Spot multiple sensors and cameras that help you move around the environment and can be expanded with several modules thanks to three USB-C ports and an HDMI port.

The biggest difference, actually, is the price.
Spot, which is already being used experimentally by several security agencies and even the armies of some countries, costs about 65,000 euros to change.

Xiaomi, on the other hand, will sell the first 1,000 cyberdog models at an approximate price of 1,315 euros, 49 times cheaper.

The company, in fact, promotes it in the launch press release as a robot that can be used as a pet, with the ability to understand and react also to voice commands.
The sensors integrated in CyberDog also allow you to follow a face between the crowd.

But like Boston Dynamics with Spot, Xiaomi considers CyberDog a platform more than a final product.
The initial roll of 1,000 units is reserved for “Xiaomi fans, engineers and robotics enthusiasts to explore the immense possibilities of CyberDog.”

The company also ensures that CyberDog software is 100% open source and plans to create a community of developers around the product from which to consider new launches in the robotics sector.
