A passenger was killed after a vehicle left the westbound lanes of State Road 528 and struck a tree early Sunday morning, troopers said.
The driver, Luis Raul Delgado Diaz, 43 of Altamonte Springs, and another passenger, Jonathon Michael Medina, 20 of Altamonte Springs, were transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center in critical condition.
The other passenger, who wasn’t identified by troopers Sunday morning, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators say Diaz was driving a Chrysler near mile marker 33, when it veered off the shoulder to the north.
The vehicle traveled into some woods where it struck a tree, a trooper’s crash report states.
The crash is still under investigation, troopers said.
