The Civil Guard is registering this Tuesday a farm near Valdepeñas (Ciudad Real) within the framework of the investigation that is being carried out to clarify the disappearance of Juan Miguel Isla, the man who lost track last summer in the neighboring municipality of Manzanares when he was going to collect a significant amount of money.

The investigation, carried out by the agents of the Central Operative Unit (UCO), an elite body of the Armed Institute, and the Ciudad Real Command, is being directed by the Manzanares Investigating Court number 2. The businessman disappeared on July 21, 2022 and, according to the investigations, the last person who could have seen him alive was an intermediary. Isla disappeared after meeting this man, who had helped her sell a family estate valued at more than half a million euros. At the end of January, the Civil Guard located the businessman’s car in an open field in Albacete. It was a neighbor who gave the notice after recognizing the vehicle after spreading, days before, the investigators some images of the vehicle in search of citizen collaboration.

Agents from the Central Eye Inspections Team (ECIO) of the Criminalistics Service of the Armed Institute have been analyzing it for clues all this time. Isla had traveled to Manzanares the afternoon before he disappeared from Playa de San Juan, in Alicante, where he lived with his partner to collect 500,000 euros in cash for a piece of land that he had just sold.

For this, he had the collaboration of an intermediary, who was the one who accompanied him. She had met him at La Solana. Later, he loses track of him. This man, according to sources close to the case, is known in the area for being the common link between buyers and sellers of houses, land, cars and weapons. It so happens that in 2019 another businessman disappeared in the area after selling two high-end vehicles in which this man also acted as a mediator.
