Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry have apparently already achieved a lot with their Archewell Foundation. The non-profit organization has now published a first report. It covers the foundation’s work from its inception in 2020 through 2022. In 2021, the Archewell Foundation raised approximately $13 million and donated approximately $3 million. The remainder will likely be donated to charity in the years to come.
According to the report, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s charity helped source 12.66 million doses of Covid vaccine in partnership with Global Citizen, donated 50,000 meals in partnership with World Central Kitchen and helped through a donation to Human First Coalition 7468, among other activities people to leave Afghanistan.
Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan founded the Archewell organization in 2020, shortly after stepping down from their roles as senior royals and moving to the United States from the UK. As for the foundation’s name, the couple explained that “ark” is the Greek word for “source of action.” The first-born son of the royal dropouts, who was born in May 2019, is also named Archie.
