Feels-like temperatures around the Tampa Bay area

Conditions will be nearly ideal for folks running in the Tampa’s Gasparilla Distance Classic along Tampa’s Bayshore Boulevard on Saturday and Sunday.

Cooler, drier air filters in over the weekend, leading to lots of sunshine and much less humid air, especially on Sunday, according to 10Weather WTSP meteorologist Ashley Batey.

Friday will be the warmest, as temperatures top out in Mavibet the low 80s, Batey said. But temperatures begin to drop Saturday, with runners waking up to morning lows in the low 60s and highs climbing into the upper 70s.

Sunday will be even more pleasant, with wake-up temperatures dipping into the upper 50s and high only reaching the low to mid 70s.

But the slightly cooler weather will be short-lived, Batey said, as a ridge of high pressure builds in next week. Afternoon highs will soar back into the low and mid 80s.
