Will François Ruffin represent the Insoumis camp in the presidential election of 2027 or in the future? “If one day I have to embody that, I will,” replied the deputy of the Somme in an interview with Konbini on Sunday February 19. The elected official affirmed that he does not rule out running “one day” for president, to “represent the most invisible of the nation” even if he “does not think about it in the morning while [se] shave nor running.”
“But I know that there is a duty today to represent the most invisible of the nation”, adds the one who was one of the leaders of LFI against the government’s pension reform project.
“They need to be carried by a voice of hope which is on the left and which is not depressed, on the far right”, continues François Ruffin. The first action he would take if elected president would be to “open the gardens of the Élysée so that there would be a big popular party inside”.
Currently in his second term as deputy for the Somme, François Ruffin is increasingly present in the media, where he notably delivers his ideas on the link to be rebuilt between the left and the working classes. His name is circulating among the personalities in the LFI camp who could claim to be presidential candidates in 2027.
