A terrace with chairs and tables, two bollards and seven containers has been carried off by a driver in Lugo in an uncontrolled journey of 30 meters. The accident, which did not cause personal injury, occurred at three in the morning on Thursday on Avenida As Fontiñas, according to a statement from the Local Police of that city.

When the agents arrived, after a warning, at the scene, they found the vehicle that had caused the accident, but not its driver. Although he had fled, he was stopped by a patrol and gave a positive (0.73 mg/l) breathalyzer test, for which he was reported for a crime against road safety.

A second complaint has also been filed against the driver. When the agents asked him for the documentation, he provided them with “a fantasy international permit.” It is an invalid document, although it looks real, that has not been issued by any country and that can be purchased online. It is often used to cover up the lack of a license.

The denounced driver assured the Local Police that he lost control of the vehicle because “a dog or a cat” unexpectedly crossed the path of his car.
