A worker at the Repsol refinery in A Coruña has been slightly injured by a fire that broke out this morning. The fire originated in crude oil unit two of this facility and was quickly extinguished by the refinery’s own security teams

Repsol has assured in a statement that the emergency plan was activated “immediately” and, after the fire was extinguished, it was deactivated. In addition, he points out that “the fire-fighting systems have worked correctly and the security teams have acted with their own means”.

The worker who has been slightly injured is already at home after being discharged after being treated by the medical services of the industrial center clinic.

After the fire, according to Repsol, they contacted the authorities to report what happened and the neighborhood associations and now they will open an investigation to clarify the causes of what happened.
