A loss of electricity struck lower levels of the Hennepin County Government Center as people started arriving for work Tuesday morning, a county spokeswoman said.
Floors below the skyway level of the downtown Minneapolis building have been affected to various degrees since 7 a.m., spokeswoman Carolyn Marinan said.
The lower levels are occupied by parking, along with the city attorney’s office a cafeteria and a public court records room.
The door leading to underground parking is being operated manually to allow vehicles in, she said.
Marinan said workers are on the scene in an effort to restore power and determine why the electricity went out.
Courtrooms are located above the Skyway level.
