Fürth (dpa / lhe) – A 19-year-old driver was seriously injured in a traffic accident on the federal highway 460 in Fürth. According to the police, he came into the oncoming lane on Wednesday afternoon in a right-hand bend for reasons that have not yet been clarified. He collided head-on with the car of a 49-year-old. The 19-year-old was trapped in his vehicle with serious injuries, freed by the fire brigade and flown to a clinic in a rescue helicopter. The 49-year-old driver of the oncoming vehicle and his 16-year-old passenger suffered minor injuries. According to the information, the damage to property is estimated at around 46.00 euros. The main road was closed for about three hours during the deployment and rescue work.
