Frankfurt/Main (dpa/lhe) – Since the introduction of the 9-euro ticket on June 1, the number of passengers on Frankfurt’s trains and buses has increased significantly. The city announced on Monday that the increase was around 19 percent compared to May. The increase is particularly strong on weekends. A survey of almost 330 people showed that more than two thirds of them also used the ticket in their free time. Every second person also stated that they had never or only rarely ridden the bus or train. Overall, however, the number of passengers is still lower than before the start of the corona pandemic.
