Frankfurt / Main (dpa / lhe) – The Löwen Frankfurt have signed the German-Canadian Chad Nehring and the American Jerry D’Amigo. This was announced by the association of the German ice hockey league on Monday. With this, the Hessians reacted to the long-term absences of the offensive players Brendan Ranford and Rylan Schwartz.
“Both players are versatile and will bring us a lot of fresh energy as well as some further DEL experience,” said sports director Franz-David Fritzmeier. The 35-year-old Nehring played in Germany for the Fischtown Pinguins, the Düsseldorfer EG and the Augsburger Panther. The attacker comes from the French first division club Brûleurs de Loups Grenoble.
D’Amigo was engaged at Düsseldorfer EG last season. The 31-year-old newcomer played 153 games in the DEL.
