Kassel (dpa / lhe) – The police in Kassel arrested a suspected drug dealer who was wanted with an arrest warrant. The 34-year-old was taken into custody, as the police headquarters announced on Wednesday. When the man was arrested on Tuesday, officers found more than 100 grams of amphetamines, opiates, LSD, ecstasy and prohibited firearms and batons.

The investigators had found the suspect by chance: he had rammed a carport in a backyard with a car and had not taken care of the damage. A neighbor saw the accident and called the police. The patrol discovered the homeless man in an apartment building nearby. The car was stolen. It was initially unclear whether the man committed the theft.
