Offenbach (dpa/lhe) – A good two weeks after the deadly shots were fired in a bar in Offenbach, the police arrested four men on Thursday. As the public prosecutor and the police jointly announced, they are a 33-year-old main suspect and three alleged accomplices aged 20, 28 and 33. The accused are said to have killed a 48-year-old and seriously injured a 45-year-old in the altercation in mid-September.

The background to the bloody deed was still unclear. However, investigators assume that the 48-year-old was involved in an argument. “The role played by the seriously injured in the conflict is currently still under investigation,” they said. The 45-year-old is in “a stable condition, but has not yet been questioned about what happened”.

According to the public prosecutor’s office, the arrests took place during apartment searches in Offenbach, Frankfurt and southern Hesse. Details were not initially known. Three of the suspects are due to appear before the magistrate on Thursday.
