Wiesbaden (dpa/lhe) – CDU federal party leader Friedrich Merz is expected this evening (6.30 p.m.) at the reception of the Hessian CDU state parliamentary group in Flörsheim. Hesse’s Prime Minister Boris Rhein (CDU) will also be present at the meeting with parliamentary group leader Ines Claus. The panel discussion will deal with current topics such as the effects of the war in Ukraine, further protective measures for the population in the corona pandemic and the positioning of the Christian Democrats before the upcoming state elections. In Hesse, a new state parliament is expected to be elected in autumn 2023.
