Offenbach (dpa/lhe) – People in Hesse can expect changeable and mild weather in the coming days, with strong gusts in the mountains at times. The Sunday was overcast and rainy, as the German Weather Service (DWD) announced on Saturday in Offenbach. A moderate wind is blowing with strong gusts of 55 kilometers per hour at summit locations from noon. The temperatures rise to up to twelve degrees Celsius. In the night to Monday it will therefore remain cloudy to heavily clouded and it will rain while the wind will persist. Temperatures drop to three degrees.
According to the forecast, the clouds will remain in place on Monday and, in addition to longer dry periods, rain and sleet showers and snow in the higher areas are expected. Temperatures are expected to rise to nine degrees. A fresh wind and stormy gusts only let up in the afternoon. There will be short breaks in the night on Tuesday and individual showers and snow at high altitudes are expected. The temperatures drop to up to one degree and in the mountains down to minus one degree with local risk of ice.
Tuesday was similarly cloudy, but mostly dry until the afternoon, it said. Strong to stormy gusts and gusts of wind are again possible in some areas.
