Offenbach (dpa/lhe) – In addition to a lot of rain, people in Hesse also have to be prepared for light snowfall at the weekend. On Saturday and Sunday there should be sleet and light snowfall, especially in the north, as the German Weather Service (DWD) announced on Thursday. Thursday and Friday will therefore be rainy, but should remain snow-free.
Thunderstorms are possible on Thursday, especially in the afternoon. The temperatures are at a maximum of 10 to 14 degrees, in the high altitudes at 7 to 10 degrees. Friday night will remain cloudy and rainy with low temperatures of 5 to 8 degrees. According to the DWD, a cloud front and showery rain are also expected on Friday. The maximum temperatures are between 7 degrees in northern Hesse and in the higher mountains and 11 degrees in the Rhine-Main area. On Saturday, the maximum temperatures will drop to 1 to 4 degrees in some areas and to 3 to 8 degrees on Sunday.
