Raunheim (dpa / lhe) – Unknown people have probably blown up several ATMs in a bank branch in a shopping center in Raunheim (Groß-Gerau district). The premises were severely damaged by the explosions early on Saturday morning and were no longer accessible, the police said. Accordingly, it was previously unclear whether the perpetrators managed to loot money. There were no injuries.

Several people had made an emergency call about two to three perpetrators who were tampering with the branch, it was said. Shortly thereafter, several cracking noises were heard. The previously unknown perpetrators fled in a dark-colored car that was parked in a parking lot.
