Wiesbaden (dpa/lhe) – Interior Minister Peter Beuth (CDU) has appointed Chief Detective Inspector Frank Schuckmann as the new contact person for the police (AdP). The 52-year-old is a passionate police officer, has a keen sense of the needs of his colleagues and is well connected at all levels within the Hessian police force, the minister explained on Friday in Wiesbaden about his election. “His empathetic nature and his positive nature are additional qualities that qualify him for this important function as a contact person for the Hessen police.”
According to the Ministry of the Interior, the function of the contact person for the police was created outside of the hierarchy and structures of the Hessian police in order to allow for the independence of the function and maximum discretion. The contact person is available to employees as a direct point of contact in the event of internal and external conflicts, social and personal problems.
With the position as a staff function, Schuckmann is directly assigned to the top management of the Ministry of the Interior. The 52-year-old follows Jürgen Begere, who has retired for reasons of age, as the police contact.
