Fulda/Kassel (dpa/lhe) – The German Hiking Association will celebrate its 140th anniversary next spring in Fulda, the place where it was founded. The Hessian Prime Minister Boris Rhein (CDU) will be the patron of the celebrations surrounding Hiking Day on May 14, 2023, as the German Hiking Association announced on Friday at its headquarters in Kassel. According to the German Hiking Association, it is committed to hiking trails, nature conservation and regional culture. Around 400 different events were offered throughout Germany this year for Hiking Day.
