Offenbach (dpa/lhe) – The people of Hesse can expect another hot day on Thursday. However, it will cool down a bit at the weekend, according to the German Weather Service (DWD), heavy rain and thunderstorms are possible on Friday.
On Thursday it will remain cloudless and precipitation-free. The temperatures are a maximum of 30 to 33 degrees. The night will be mostly clear, it will cool down to 16 to 20 degrees.
According to the DWD, it will initially remain sunny on Friday as well, but as the day progresses, increasingly dense fields of cloud will move across the country from the west and the likelihood of thunderstorms and heavy rain will increase. Nevertheless, it remains at maximum temperatures of 28 to 32 degrees. During the night, 14 to 19 degrees and isolated showers and thunderstorms are expected.
At the start of the weekend it will be a bit cooler on Saturday, with maximum temperatures between 23 and 27 degrees. Clouds and showers can be expected, especially in the first half of the day, before loosening up is foreseen coming from the north-west.
According to the DWD, Sunday will be sunny and free of precipitation at 22 to 27 degrees.
