Wiesbaden (dpa/lhe) – With the removal of bureaucratic hurdles, Hesse wants to facilitate the immigration of well-trained specialists from abroad. In the state parliament in Wiesbaden, a change in the law was passed on Thursday evening with the votes of the CDU, Greens, SPD and FDP. Among other things, the procedures for the recognition of foreign professional and university degrees are to be accelerated.
In the future, German companies will be able to initiate the verification of qualifications for potential employees from abroad and thus speed up the visa process. Documents no longer have to be in the form of originals or certified copies, but can be sent electronically. Germany is and will remain dependent on foreign specialists, said Science Minister Angela Dorn (Greens). Therefore, hurdles would have to be removed.
