Wiesbaden (dpa/lhe) – Hesse’s Environment Minister Priska Hinz (Greens) wants to inform in Wiesbaden today about the priorities of her department in the double budget for 2023 and 2024. The state government’s draft provides, among other things, for expenditure of 1.8 billion euros for climate protection. Hinz wants to explain what is planned with this money.
In addition, the Green politician wants to explain the draft for a climate protection law. The law is to be an issue in the state parliament plenum next week. According to a statement by the Green parliamentary group in the state parliament, the draft law envisages reducing greenhouse gas emissions by at least 40 percent by 2025. By 2045, Hessen should be climate-neutral.
