Wiesbaden (dpa/lhe) – In Hesse, the integration and participation policy should be anchored in law. Social and Integration Minister Kai Klose (Greens) will present the draft law on Friday (2 p.m.) in Wiesbaden. According to the ministry, more than 2.2 million people with a history of migration live in Hesse. Since 2005, their number has grown by around 800,000 people – their share of the total population has risen from 24 to 36 percent.

According to the will of the black-green state government, the integration law should further improve equal opportunities and participation. This should also strengthen social cohesion.
