Wiesbaden (dpa/lhe) – Around 2,400 charging facilities for electric vehicles are operated in Hesse. There are around 330 fast and around 2060 normal charging devices, said Transport Minister Tarek Al-Wazir (Greens) in Wiesbaden in response to a parliamentary question from the AfD parliamentary group, citing information from the charging station register of the Federal Network Agency.

According to an estimate by the Hessian Calibration Directorate, around two thirds of the e-charging facilities are public or semi-public, the minister reported. According to this, around 1,600 charging facilities in the country are subject to measurement and calibration law. In addition, there is an unknown number of charging facilities that have not been reported to the Federal Network Agency.

According to the Minister of Transport, these charging facilities are operated by around 240 different users, some at several locations. In addition to energy suppliers, shops for everyday needs, service providers and car dealerships, the users also included a few private individuals. The Hessian Calibration Directorate checks charging devices both routinely and on a random basis.
