Wiesbaden (dpa/lhe) – In the Hessian state administration, up to 70,000 computer workstations will be equipped with a new video conference system. The State Chancellery in Wiesbaden announced on Tuesday that “ultramodern and future-proof open source solutions” would be used for this purpose. These are technically up to date and the data is better secured. With the cloud used, the data would be processed in Germany. Around 35,000 employees are currently still using a video conference system based on Skype for Business. The gradual introduction of the new system called “HessenConnect 2.0” is scheduled to start this year.
