Wiesbaden (dpa/lhe) – Hessian citizens, companies and municipalities can get tips on saving energy via a telephone hotline. The State Energy Agency (LEA Hessen) will activate the free number next Monday (August 1), as the Ministry of Economic Affairs announced in Wiesbaden on Friday. At 0611/95017-8989 there is advice on how to prepare for the winter and the heating period in the short term and how to dampen the foreseeable price increases. There is also information about medium and long-term measures to increase energy efficiency.
“We can all do something to use energy more efficiently in our homes,” said Economics Minister Tarek Al-Wazir (Greens) according to the statement. “Those who do nothing will be hit hard by the enormous price increases. Every kilowatt hour saved helps us all to get through the winter.” The energy-saving telephone can be reached from Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Thursdays until 8 p.m.
