Frankfurt/Main (dpa/lhe) – A life-threatening knife attack is the focus of a trial before the Frankfurt Regional Court from this Thursday. A 47-year-old Moroccan is accused of injuring his wife’s former partner in June last year, causing life-threatening injuries to his intestines with a targeted knife wound in his stomach. The prosecution accuses the man, who is said to have acted out of jealousy, of attempted murder. The life of the seriously injured man was only saved by an immediate emergency operation. Previously, the two men are said to have argued about alleged stalking of the former partner. “Why are you calling my wife?” the accused is said to have asked. The jury has initially scheduled three days of hearings until the end of March.
