Niestetal (dpa / lhe) – A trailer truck with defective brakes and worn tires has been pulled out of traffic by the police on Autobahn 7 in northern Hesse. The 40-ton truck was noticed by the officials near Niestetal on Tuesday because it was only driving at 30 km/h, the police in Kassel said on Thursday. During the check, they found, among other things, that the brake pads were missing, the tires had hardly any tread and the exhaust system was rusted. In addition, the truck was not given a sticker during the main inspection at the end of 2021 due to dangerous defects. According to the first investigations, it was still used daily by the North Hessian forwarding agency to transport goods.
