Frankfurt / Main (dpa / lhe) – On a dirt road in Frankfurt-Nied, two men are said to have offered a Kalashnikov assault rifle and ammunition for sale. That’s why the two have to answer to the Frankfurt district court from today. The indictment accuses them of violating the War Weapons Control Act. However, the sale of the Kalashnikov assault rifle was not actually completed.

The two prospective buyers have already been sentenced to imprisonment for preparing serious acts of violence that endanger the state – this involved planned attacks on politicians and police officers.
