Wiesbaden (dpa/lhe) – The obligation to isolate corona infected people in Hesse will probably no longer apply from next Wednesday. At the beginning of next week, the cabinet wants to make a corresponding decision, the State Chancellery announced on Friday. The obligation for those who tested positive to isolate themselves is no longer applicable. To do this, people infected with corona would have to adhere to other protective measures, such as a mask requirement indoors.
The Ministry of Social Affairs had already announced the move. Many people in Germany have been vaccinated or have gone through an infection, it was said as a reason. Reference was also made to the declining number of infections. In other federal states, too, the obligation to isolate has been abolished.
